Satuke
Satuke is a small town in de province of BuriRam, 100 Kms away from the Laos and the Cambodian border in a very flat landscape.
Bangkok
By bus, day or night, Satuke is 9 hours from Bangkok and 4 hours from Mukdahan. (visa run !), by air Bangkok (BKK) - Satuke is only 45 minutes away.
Pattaya
When you stay in Pattaya you will find a special (yellow) bus that leaves 4 times a day in the direction of Mukdahan, the bus at 18:45 will arrive in Satuk at 3:30, be warned, the busdriver likes the airconditioner very much, so dont go on this bus in only your t-shirt!!
Visa
When you need a new visa for Thailand (not an extension) you have to read our Mukdahan-Savannakhet visa run page. Believe me, this is a perfect trip, much better then Penang, Vientienne or any other place you can imagine... and its all less than 24 hours away.
Laos and Vietnam
When you are in Bangkok or Pattaya and you like to go to Hanoi or Da Nang in Vietnam then its also a good idea to stop in Satuke and Mukdahan, the bus at the busstation in Savannakhet (Laos) will bring you to Vietnam every day.
